The founder of Gojuryu is Sensei Chojun Miyagi (1888-1953).&#8221;Gojuryu&#8221; means the way of the hard and soft; &#8220;Go&#8221; implies hard, &#8220;Ju&#8221; implies soft, and &#8220;Ryu&#8221; means the way of. A hard technique requires the use of body strength and muscular tension. Soft techniques require a minimal use of muscular tension and are usually combined with body motion. Hard and soft techniques integrate to form a complete fighting system adaptable to any particular situation.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>Karatedo Jintak-Kan group&nbsp;<\/strong>is now managed by Gojuryu Karatedo Jin Tak-Kan International (HK) Headquarters Limited of which owned by Master Annice W.L. Chiu. With more than 30 years of teaching Youth Karatedo Experience, Master Annice growing with the students and now running 28 dojos with 33 classes\/weekly through out Monday to Sunday in Hong Kong, Kowloon and New Territories.
